The first of my post shopping ban online hauls arrived today!
I placed this order on the 1st and it was sent on the 3rd. I didn't realize Harrods used DHL and was expecting to wait a couple of weeks, so it was a lovely surprise when it arrived today. Makes the £25 flat rate shipping a lot easier to swallow.
I ordered products I've been lusting after for months. Tom Ford blush in Narcissist, Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base, Burberry Eye Palettes in Pale Nude, Pink Taupe and Plum Pink, Burberry Blush in Cameo, Chanel Illusion D'Ombre in Apparence and Guerlain Rouge G L’Extrait Lip Color in Paresse.
It's been a while since I've shopped in the city so I hadn't had a chance to see many of these items in real-life. I relied solely on blog reviews and it paid off nicely. Everything looks even better than I'd thought it would and I can't wait to try it all out properly.
In the end the savings weren't amazing (with VAT removed and shipping added I saved about $40 compared to Australian prices), but as I live nowhere near a Tom Ford, Burberry or Guerlain counter the convenience of being able to order the full ranges online is a massive plus. I was really happy with the shipping speed and impressed with the way everything was packaged, so I think Harrods will replace many of the counters in Myer and DJ's for me.

Gorgeous haul! I have purchased from Harrods once before and agree it is great to get access to brands that have no counters close by.

DeleteI was impressed with Harrods because my order got to Australia within 2 days during the Christmas rush. I would buy all the high end brand from them unless I order something non makeup from the USA. They also have wonderful customer service. David Jones has free shipping but they take 2 weeks to process and it costs so much more to start with.

DeleteDJ's online store bugs me. If they had the entire range of each brand available I'd probably buy from them more often, but they only seem to stock random bits and pieces.

DeleteNice haul! I've not heard much about the Burberry eye palettes but the ones you've picked up are gorgeous and totally wearable. That Tom Ford blush is SO pretty, I've seen it pop up a few times on blogs so it must be a good'un :D xx

Lovely haul, I didn't know that Harrods shipped to Australia! Been wanting to get my hands on some Burberry shadows for ages, you'll have to report back about those palettes - I'd love to see swatches :) xx
